AI / LLM Application Engineer (m/f/d)

What we look for:
  • You lead the implementation of end-to-end AI- and LLM-based applications for OMMAX consulting clients across industries.
  • You build scalable Python backend services and production-grade LLM systems, including application logic, agent-based workflows, and RAG pipelines.
  • You securely integrate enterprise data sources, APIs, databases, and internal systems into high-performing AI solutions.
  • You develop AI-powered web applications such as copilots, chat interfaces, and dashboards while contributing to architectural decisions.
  • You deploy and operate applications in cloud environments such as AWS, Azure, or GCP, ensuring monitoring, scalability, and operational stability.
  • You apply LLMOps best practices and optimize evaluation, observability, versioning, and cost efficiency.
  • You design secure, enterprise-ready AI solutions with robust IAM concepts and protection against LLM-specific risks.
  • You take ownership of technical excellence and have the opportunity to grow into a technical lead role.
What we require:
  • You hold a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field; cloud or AI certifications are a plus.
  • You have strong Python engineering experience in production environments and have built LLM-powered applications including tool/function calling, structured outputs, and robust error handling.
  • You bring hands-on experience with frameworks such as LangChain, LangGraph, LlamaIndex, or comparable orchestration tools and demonstrate a strong understanding of RAG architectures.
  • You have experience designing agentic or workflow-based systems and show sound judgment in choosing deterministic versus autonomous approaches.
  • You have built modern web applications using React, Next.js, or similar technologies and understand UX patterns for AI-driven interfaces.
  • You have deployed applications in cloud environments and are familiar with Docker and CI/CD; Kubernetes is a plus.
  • You demonstrate strong understanding of enterprise integration, IAM, secure API design, and LLM-specific security risks.
  • You are fluent in English; additional local language skills are a plus.

  • Du leitest die Implementierung von End-to-End-AI- und LLM-basierten Anwendungen für OMMAX-Beratungskunden über verschiedene Branchen hinweg.
  • Du entwickelst skalierbare Python-Backend-Services und produktionsreife LLM-Systeme einschließlich Applikationslogik, agentenbasierter Workflows und RAG-Pipelines.
  • Du integrierst Enterprise-Datenquellen sowie APIs, Datenbanken und interne Systeme sicher und performant in moderne AI-Lösungen.
  • Du entwickelst AI-getriebene Webanwendungen wie Copilots, Chat-Interfaces oder Dashboards und bringst dich aktiv in Architekturentscheidungen ein.
  • Du deployest und betreibst Anwendungen in Cloud-Umgebungen wie AWS, Azure oder GCP und stellst Monitoring, Skalierbarkeit und Stabilität sicher.
  • Du wendest LLMOps-Best-Practices an und optimierst Evaluation, Observability, Versionierung sowie Kostenstrukturen.
  • Du entwickelst sichere, enterprise-taugliche Lösungen mit klarer IAM-Architektur und Schutzmechanismen gegen LLM-spezifische Risiken.
  • Du übernimmst Verantwortung für technische Exzellenz und hast die Perspektive, dich in eine Technical-Lead-Rolle weiterzuentwickeln.
Was Du mitbringst:
  • Du hast einen Hochschulabschluss in Informatik, Software Engineering, Künstlicher Intelligenz oder einem verwandten Fachgebiet; Cloud- oder AI-Zertifizierungen sind von Vorteil.
  • Du verfügst über fundierte Python-Engineering-Erfahrung in produktiven Umgebungen und hast LLM-basierte Anwendungen inklusive Tool-Calling, strukturierten Outputs und robuster Fehlerbehandlung umgesetzt.
  • Du bringst praktische Erfahrung mit Frameworks wie LangChain, LangGraph, LlamaIndex oder vergleichbaren Orchestrierungs-Tools sowie ein tiefes Verständnis von RAG-Architekturen mit.
  • Du hast Erfahrung in der Entwicklung agentenbasierter oder workflow-orientierter Systeme und verfügst über ein gutes Urteilsvermögen zwischen deterministischen und autonomen Ansätzen.
