Director Data Strategy (m/f/d)

You are responsible for overseeing the development and implementation of comprehensive data strategies and solutions for large enterprises, ensuring alignment with broader business objectives.
You drive transformation projects aimed at optimizing data management and digitizing business processes, providing strategic guidance throughout the entire process.
You define the architecture and oversee execution of data factories, data infrastructures, and data engineering processes to ensure scalable, innovative solutions.
You lead and mentor interdisciplinary teams to successfully implement data management solutions and data products, fostering collaboration and excellence.
You build and nurture long-term client relationships, positioning data as a strategic asset and aligning solutions with their long-term vision.
You shape the company’s growth trajectory by establishing best practices and driving innovative initiatives in collaboration with management.
You represent the company as a thought leader, actively participating in and leading client workshops, conferences, and strategic discussions.
You own the company’s data management and technology strategy, setting the direction and ensuring its successful execution.

What we require:

You hold a completed university degree with excellent grades in Computer Science, Business Administration, Economics, Mathematics, or another analytical or scientific field (Master's, MBA, or PhD preferred).
You have at least 5 years of experience in consulting in the areas of Data Governance, Compliance, Data Management, Data Science, Business Analytics, or Data Technology, in product management, or in development within these domains.
You have proven experience in team coordination, leadership, and managing complex projects.
You have experience with SAP, ERP systems, and CRM tools, and demonstrate solid knowledge of the relevant data sources.
You are skilled in Tableau, Power BI, and/or other leading analytics tools, and bring strong Excel and data analysis capabilities.
You are familiar with common analytics tech stacks, programming languages, and frameworks (e.g., Python, R, SQL, Scikit-Learn, JupyterLab).
You bring an understanding of modern software development workflows (e.g., Git, Jira, Confluence, CI/CD) and basic experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP is a plus.
You have a strong customer focus and are a true team player with a hands-on mentality.
You possess excellent oral and written communication skills.
You are fluent in English and German.

Du bist verantwortlich für die Entwicklung und Umsetzung umfassender Datenstrategien und -lösungen für Großunternehmen und stellst sicher, dass diese mit den übergeordneten Geschäftszielen im Einklang stehen.
Du führst und steuerst Transformationsprojekte zur Optimierung des Datenmanagements und zur Digitalisierung von Geschäftsprozessen, indem du während des gesamten Prozesses strategische Leitlinien vorgibst.
Du definierst und überwachst die Architektur und Umsetzung von Data Factories, Dateninfrastrukturen und Data Engineering-Prozessen, um skalierbare und innovative Lösungen sicherzustellen.
Du führst und betreust interdisziplinäre Teams zur erfolgreichen Implementierung von Datenmanagement-Lösungen und Datenprodukten.
Du gestaltest die Wachstumsstrategie des Unternehmens, indem du Best Practices etablierst und innovative Initiativen in Zusammenarbeit mit dem Management vorantreibst.
Du repräsentierst das Unternehmen als Thought Leader, indem du aktiv an Kundenworkshops, Konferenzen und strategischen Diskussionen teilnimmst und diese leitest.
Du übernimmst die Verantwortung für die Datenmanagement- und Technologiestrategie des Unternehmens, setzt die Richtung fest und stellst deren erfolgreiche Umsetzung sicher.

Was Du mitbringst:

Du hast ein abgeschlossenes Hochschulstudium mit sehr guten Noten in Informatik, Betriebswirtschaft, Volkswirtschaft, Mathematik oder einem anderen analytisch-naturwissenschaftlichen Fachgebiet (ein Master, MBA oder eine Promotion ist von Vorteil).
Du bringst mindestens fünf Jahre Erfahrung in der Beratung in den Bereichen Data Governance, Compliance, Datenmanagement, Data Science, Business Analytics oder Datentechnologie mit – alternativ im Produktmanagement oder in der Entwicklung in diesen Feldern.
Du hast umfassende Erfahrung in der Koordination und Führung von Teams sowie in der Steuerung komplexer Projekte.
Du verfügst über fundierte Kenntnisse in gängigen Analytics Tech Stacks, Programmiersprachen und Frameworks (z. B. Python, R, SQL, Scikit-Learn, JupyterLab).
Du kennst typische Softwareentwicklungs-Workflows (z. B. Git, Jira, Confluence, CI/CD) und hast idealerweise bereits mit Cloud-Plattformen wie AWS, Azure oder GCP gearbeitet.
